We seek independence from the world as we learn to live, work and worship in community with one another. We believe following the radical and revolutionary teaching of Jesus Christ will lead us to a more just world.

WHY LIVE IN COMMUNITY?

All the believers were together and had everything in common.

THE WORLD IS BROKEN

You and I may be comfortable, but for the vast majority of the world, oppression, suffering and lack of basic resources is the order of the day. That is upside down. The tragedy is that there is a solution, but the well-to-do have the power to keep it that way.

THE HOPE WE HAVE

We have always, even before a single word of the Bible had been written, known what the solution is, but have stubbornly refused to do two simple things: Love God and love one another.

FELLOWSHIP

The first step to restore the relationship with God and with one another, is to eliminate the power wealth and domination have over us. With those two obstacles out of the way, our yoke will be easy, we no longer need to worry. We can do more together than we can individually.

MEMBERSHIP

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

INTRODUCTION

Life at New Covenant House is very different from what most people know. Living this way is not common outside monasteries and other dedicated communities. Every journey begins with a single step. Contact us today for a conversation or a tour.

DISCIPLESHIP

We may be born with some very basic abilities, but knowing the Way of Jesus is not one of them. In fact, much of what we are being taught is the opposite. Unlearning it will take some serious, corrective study, time and effort.

EVANGELISM

Lots of very learned people have been preaching the gospel for a very long time, but apparently, no on e is listening. Therefore, our approach is to hold the words and lead with our example. The best way to tell the story is to show them.

LEADERSHIP AND DECISIONMAKING

INCOME SHARING

Everyone come with nothing and leave with nothing. Everyone contribute according to their ability. Everyone is cared for according to their needs. Living this way, frees us from the tyranny of money, the pursuit of possessions and teaches us the value of enough.

LEADERSHIP

Everyone is a leader. To be a leader, one must first submit to the core values of New Covenant House: Love God and love one another. Leaders recognize that everyone is created in the image of God and needs to be treated accordingly. The role of leadership is to raise everyone up to be a leader who follows Christ in everything they do.

FELLOWSHIP

If we are to fulfill our vision, we cannot simply take care of ourselves, we must also start and support other communities. When a community nears capacity, new leaders will be called to start a new community in close proximity.
